About Effective Lawmakers Scores

As part of our mission to promote the generation and communication of new knowledge about effective lawmaking, the CEL aims to provide educators with useful materials, tied to our research and outreach activities, that can be incorporated into their classrooms.  Please find below links to datasets, lecture materials, and syllabi that might serve as the foundation for curriculum development.  We have also created a collection of curated videos that are built around excerpts from our Conversations with Effective Lawmakers series, where the video clips are organized around themes that might be of use to faculty teaching courses on the U.S. Congress, legislative politics, and other aspects of American politics and policymaking.  These pages will be continuously updated as new content is developed.

For more information, or if you wish to schedule a virtual classroom visit with the CEL Co-Directors, Craig Volden and Alan Wiseman, please email us at thelawmakers@virginia.edu.
